Interviews start off simple and progress to a level appropriate to the course expectations.

REMEMBER: Don’t change the tense. If you are asked a question in the preterite, respond with the preterite.

REMEMBER: Don’t change the verb. Use the same verb as the interviewer uses in his question, unless it is “hacer.”

REMEMBER: Recycle as many elements from the question as possible in your answer.

¿Qué te gusta hacer? (You should be able to use gustar correctly to talk about things and activities you like)

¿Qué hiciste el verando pasado? ¿Qué vas a hacer este verano? (be able to speak about past, present, or future)

¿Qué tiempo hace? ¿Qué haces cuando hace calor/frío? (review how to talk about weather)

¿Qué deportes te gustan? ¿Practicas algún deporte? (know sports vocabulary, verbs)

¿Qué comidas te gustan? (build up a good vocabulary of foods and drink, know which verbs go with them)

¿Te gusta ir de compras? (be able to talk about shopping, buying, types of stores, etc.)

¿Qué harías si … (hypothetical) …? (interview may probe complex structures, depending on level)

Partner format: Escriban, ensayen (rehearse), y memoricen un diálogo o entrevista con su compañero usando preguntas de la lista o preguntas similares. En la entrevista, cada persona debe hacerle por lo menos (at least) siete preguntas a su compañero y contestar siete preguntas.
