2. Write a short text for a local magazine about activities you used to do when you were a child.

Dear readers, talking about my life is delightful, I love what I was when I was a little girl. First, being the oldest daughter of my family had given to me one of the most beautiful privileges: raise and share with my little sister, what would I do without her?

If I could turn back in time, I would stay with her all the time, however, I know that is not possible. When I was a little girl, I used to play with dolls, I used to eat sand and all disgusting things that mom hated, for me that had become happiness.

On the other hand, I remember that my dad had bought me a beautiful teddy bear by the times I used to cry for everything, it’s really touching having that in mind because I lost it while I was riding my bike (I used to ride my bike every afternoon when I had done my homework); I used to think I could do anything, even hold my teddy bear while I rode my bike, however I was quite wrong. I hadn’t realized that the park was full of mud, so I kept riding and suddenly and for my surprise I felt down. What had just happened? Well, I had noticed that my left arm was broken, as my bike, but the worst was that my teddy bear had flown and it had reached another kid riding his bike, he had felt down too.

How sad! No bike, a broken arm and my teddy bear had remained into pieces. My little sister, who had seen me as soon as I felt down, had run immediately to help me. That was courageous because she was little. She had taken me as she could and had put me in a safe place. Then she called mom and after a few minutes, we had arrived home. Mom used to repeat: If you stop doing weird stuff, you won’t get hurt, but I hadn’t heard her.

That had been the sweetest gift from my dad, and now it turned into a sad memory of my childhood. I wish I were more careful and still have that beautiful teddy bear. As a result, I was out of my teddy bear, my bike and I had gotten my arm broken. Finally, now I am a careful person, I don’t take unnecessary risks. I say to my daughter: look at me; I used to be very naughty when I was younger, and I broke my arm. If you ride your bike carefully, you will keep healthy and happy.
