Comunidad religiosa es la denominación tradicional de todas las comunidades o asociaciones que se proponen alcanzar un fin religioso mediante la vida en común. El concepto de comunidad religiosa puede ser aplicado a grupos religiosos de muy distintas religiones.

Cristianismo

Los canónigos regulares y las congregaciones de religiosos y religiosas, o «seculares», por ejemplo las de sacerdotes, seminaristas.

Budismo

En el budismo están muy extendidas por Asia Oriental (Sri Lanka, Tailandia, Corea y el Tíbet), y desde finales del siglo XX por Occidente, las comunidades de sanghas (monjes), de ambos sexos, en monasterios con diversas tradiciones (como los lamasterios del lamaísmo)

Anne Young: Hi, we are on Anne and Thom´s home! Let´s come in! The living room is simple, but beautiful. There is a white sofa-bed, two white armchairs and a coffee table. The sofa-bed is in front of the balcony, one of the armchairs is in front of the fireplace, the other one is at the balcony and the coffee table is among the sofa-bed, the armchairs and the fireplace. The balcony has a great view. The kitchen is next to the living room, it is gorgeous! There is a beautiful table among the washing machine, the sink and the refrigerator.

Thom Brown: Hi, Anne. Welcome to our home!

Anne Young: This is a nice apartment! You have a fantastic kitchen!

Thom Brown: Yes, I am a chef. So, I like to have a big kitchen.

Thom Brown: She loves Colombian food: bandeja paisa, tamales, ajiaco, coconut rice, patacón pisao, limonada de panela.

Thom Brown: Yes! Of course.
