Islam is a culture known for being dedicated to their traditions. There are 5 Islam pillars that Muslims follow. One of them is Ramadan. First let’s explain what Ramadan is: Ramadan is the fast Muslims do in a special epoch of the year. It is used as a way to pray to God; people stop doing everything that breaks a fast, leave indeed eating, drinking and throwing up from sunrise to sunset along a month... It can be inferred that this extreme practice can affect Muslim’s health in a bad way because they practically stop ingesting food

The second thing that must be known is what Ramadan is for. Ramadan helps Muslims to be in peace with those who have wronged them, strengthen ties with family and friends, and do away with bad habits… Also during these fasting, a Muslim experiences hunger, thirst, and sympathizes with people who do not have money to eat. That is the finality of Ramadan, to make a sacrifice to their God by knowing how poor people feel, experience how they live and try to help them.

Ramadan has spiritual, physical, psychological, and social benefits, but health problems can arise as a result of excessive food intake, unbalanced diet foods, and insufficient sleep. Although it is recommended that only healthy adults should practice this, people who are so devotees usually do Ramadan even though they do not have perfect health conditions. This is not a good idea because some of them do not have knowledge about the effects of Ramadan.

When night comes, Muslims can break their fast and eat a special diet made for those days. It is not the most complete diet of all because it cannot contain a lot of calories, proteins neither vitamins. But choosing the right food to break fast with is the key to a better health. A Muslim should always consult with a doctor about the safety of fasting in individual circumstances.

As a conclusion of this, Ramadan is not a bad thing or a dangerous practice but it can affect Muslim’s health while realizing it if they do not follow the right way to do it. But at the same time, it can improve health because they will be in peace with their selves so their happiness or peace will influence on it. To practice a good Ramadan, it is recommended to attend with a doctor so it will be safety and Muslims will have a proper and healthier Ramadan
