The present project is based on the study and mechanical design of a test bench

for gearboxes. To assure an ideal study, the project is focused on a certain

model of automatic gearboxes, 722.6. This box, is incorporated by several

models of the German manufacturer Mercede-Benz.

The different points that the project includes are:

 Determination of the minimal requirements to execute an adjustment.

 Design and market research of the constructive elements that form the

test bench.

 Fieldwork to determine and to compare the processes that can be avoided.

 Production of a new protocol of test to make the adjustment in the bench.

 Production of the budget of the mechanical design process of the test

bench, and study of viability.

The project tries to justify the possible production of a test bench that offers a

different and more sustainable alternative, to the process of checking and

adjustment of the automatic gearboxes, once these have been dismantled from
