The most useful object for me is my iPod Touch 5th generation for three main reasons.

First, it’s a great alternative to communicate with others. With this amazing device I can send unlimited free text messages and make free calls or video calls to other iOS users or smartphone users. It can also support social networking applications such as facebook and twitter so I can stay connected with friends and family, make status and post updates, and upload photos.

Second, it’s great for portable entertainment. Besides the obvious function as a music player, Apple boasts the iPod Touch as having ‘fun written all over it’, and it certainly does. The Apple Store has over 500,000 applications, most of which can be supported on the Touch. I can read and purchase books (including classics and the hottest bestsellers) on my iPod. I can also read articles from some of the world’s best known newspapers and magazines. The App Store has games of all types, from classic games such as Tetris and Angry Birds, to puzzles and simulations. Most of these are free, or cost little. Plus, the iPod supports video formats, so I can enjoy watching episodes of my favorite TV shows, movies and music videos in widescreen.

Third, it has excellent functions such as the iSight camera with 5 megapixels and flash. It takes such great shots, and it also has an editing program in which you can edit your photos making them funnier. This new version record videos in HD, too. This is great for unexpected moments, or when I just want to video-record or snap a picture of something special.

Another function is Siri which is an intelligent voice program. This application wakes me up; open my apps, answer my most random questions, and remind me to do stuff. In a nice way. All I have to do is ask.

In conclusion, my iPod Touch is a great alternative to make the communication quicker and easier than ever. It has different portable entertainment and of course excellent functions. That’s why it’s the most useful object for me.
