“Dubai”

In this Essay I will going to describe a fascinating city like Dubai as a “Human Landscape” which is a city created to astonish the people around the globe, fill of technology, architecture and all the good things of our time surrounded of all the traditions of the Middle East, this is the city where the desert merges with the skyscrapers.

In the first place we found the people, strangely the majority of the people in Dubai are foreign people, tourist that go to that place in search of luxury, business and comfort, due to this causes Dubai is a world financial center that provides many opportunities of inversion, so the residents are the people in charge to main this huge financial machinery, they are the soul of a city that is always growing despite of the Arabian people that live in Dubai are only the 48% of the population the Middle East influence stay present in a strong way, this because the head of the city is the sheik Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktum, who belongs to the monarchy of that country.

Now talking about their culture, we can see that the way of government is the monarchy and that Dubai belongs to the United Arabian States (UAE),the majority of the people agree with this type of government because until now the sheik has led the City to a new era of prosperity and growing; The traditions and the Muslim life have to be respected to have a balanced live, in public places the couples cannot be kissing or hugging and foreign women have to cover the upper body, shoulder and elbows in addition to legs until the knees, and always if they go to a place where are people, also the Muslim women can go to beach but they can´t afford to take a bath. Every day you can hear the call to pray through external speakers of the mosques which are just two or three blocks around the city, five times a day.

The economy of Dubai is mainly composed of oil exportation, but due to high consumption they are running out of it, so they decide to have a second economy based on, the real estate industry, commerce and financial services, also the tourism, those are the reasons of the luxury hotels and skyscrapers, to catch the attention of the world and the money of powerful countries like, England, China, Switzerland and Singapore, but we will know in detail everything about the tourism in the next section.

Dubai is famous for the hotels and buildings, but a few people know about the transportation, so I will to talk about it; there is a bus system that is extensive and advanced, but no t large enough to carry the number of people who use it. Dubai also has a large taxi system, which is the most widely used way of transportation within the Emirates; in addition to this there is a metro in Dubai that will help to release the pressure of the public transportation system, at the other side we have the monorail, that is the connection between the Jumeirah palm island and the continent, it is also connected to the Dubai metro.
