The song is actually a provocative song in a sense that it enables the listener to ask questions, to think deeply about God and his role in our everyday lives. It helps the listener to think about his relationship with Him. The lyrics for me rings true.

The lyrics actually represents the basic questions which each one of us who believe in the existence of God would actually ask if we indeed see him face to face. It is the nature of man to ask questions because his Knowledge of God is limited. But in my opinion, it depends upon the listener. Some may see this as somewhat irreverent, others may see it in a different point of view.

This song for me is God is in all of us. The song suggests that it is up to us to choose to see Him; he is everywhere, and goes home, alone, disappointed because many of us do not realize that he is there, in the everyday people and things in life. To myself, the song is indeed a plea to rediscover God.

In one part of the song, says if we are ready to believe in the prophets or the saints; my own understanding of this is that faith is subjective but certainly requires that we have the readiness to adjust to certain beliefs. Many of us, whether we like to or not, would have to admit that there are aspects of our faith we would like to question.
