1. Who takes TOEIC and why?

- Nonnative English speakers take the tests to demonstrate English proficiency when applying for new positions and obtaining credentials.

- Corporations use the TOEIC tests to document progress in English training programs, recruit and promote employees and put standard measurements in place across locations.

- English-language programs use them to place students at the right learning levels, and show student progress and program effectiveness

- Government agencies use them to document progress in English-language courses, and to recruit, promote and hire employees. They also often use the TOEIC tests for the evaluation of teachers in their educational system as well as volunteers for major events that take place within their areas.

2. Where do people take it?

This is given at open public sessions, and at companies and language schools around the world.

3. Who accepts TOEIC scores?

- The test is widely accepted by corporations, English- language programs and government agencies around the world.

4. What is the testing format?

Both tests use an online format. The TOEIC Speaking test has 11 questions and is approximately 20 minutes long. The TOEIC Writing test has 8 questions and is approximately 60 minutes long.

The test has two sections:

• Section1: Listening

• Section2: Reading

6. What is the test content for section 1?

Test takers listen to a variety of questions and short conversations recorded in English, and then they answer questions based on what they have heard.

• Part4. Short talks.
