The Global Food Supply

Are we doing a good job of feeding the world ? No not really , we are not feeding the world correctly. We are wasting money on other non-important things . I have many facts that shows how the global food supply is affected .

People from different parts of the world get their food from farms , but according to National Geographic the environmental challenges caused by agriculture are huge . “They’ll only become more pressing as we try to meet the growing for food world wide “ . The world produces enough food to feed all of us , the world agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago . A 70 percent population increase shows it’s enough to feed everyone with 2,720 Kilocalories per person .

Is the food supply the same on every continent , or in every country ? Im not sure if it is . Every country has different habitats , in other worlds it has different lands . Most countries don’t have good food supplies . I believe that every continent has the same food supply .

To add on , farmers are really important in the food supply industry . Believe it or not , farmers of todays generation mostly control the worlds food supply . Without plantation sites and farms we wouldn’t been able to eat some foods . But we also have to thanks farmers for our food too . It all depends on our lands .

Geographic location is one of the biggest issue in the food supply . It’s an issue because some foods from different parts of the world are fresher than others . As an example the vegetables you grow yourself are fresher than the ones you get at a supermarket . Its might be fresher because nobody else touches it but you , but on the other hand , vegetables from the supermarket go from hand to hand till it arrives to the supermarket . In the supermarket random people touch it and its gets full of germs .

How does wealth becomes an issue in the food supply ? Wealth can become an issue in the food supply because farmers and food companies are losing a lot of money . If they don’t have enough money they won’t have the correct objects to grow their crops on . If they keep on losing money the world food supply is going to be a total disaster .

War can also become an issue . It can become an issue because food supply companies or farmers who offer us the food may argue at times about which brand is better . There’s another chance that they can fight over land . But the main reason war happens is because the supply has to prove which one is more original . Another reason war is common between companies and farmers is that they also have to prove which one doesn’t include artificial flavor in what they provide .
