Have you ever noticed the power of someone taking control over you? Or the type of things you have done due to peer pressure. Sometimes society takes control of our conduct and at the moment we don’t notice that what we are doing is really wrong and could severely affect us. It is very important to be aware of our actions and be completely sure that what we are doing has no bad consequences and doesn’t end up hurting us.

The term “society” comes from the Latin societatem, which means “friendly association with others”. But what happens when that association becomes social pressure? You start to act like a person who doesn´t have control in her life, unaware of what is being done; your friends act in a guile way, unable to be trusted. The whole world is being ruled by imperious men who don´t have a clue of what the best thing is for society. But that doesn’t matter because everyone still follows them without noticing and changing this way.

As Aristotle said, “Human beings are by nature political animals, who naturally want to live together.” Human beings need to live in a society because they need it to exist and grow. Society is the best human organization in which you can be part of a group and be involved with other people similar to you. It also helps to maintain order and peace inside the country. Creating friendships is fundamental, for we learn from them to be better citizens and live in order and peace.

People need society, and society needs people; its impossible to exist without one another. But like everything we know, there needs to exist a limit where it can’t influence you anymore. You can’t be the rebel who goes against society and, at the same time, you can’t be a prisoner of society. To be able to live in harmony we need to have a control in our lives and don´t let anyone else influence in our decision-making.
