Global Water Issues

One of the most important global problems of recent years has been the supply of water to communities in general, in some cases, this has been due to the lack of rational use by the population, so today on World Water Day, is about creating awareness among people to secure their supply in the future.

The problem is that water is a resource that gives granted in many places, it is very rare for 1,100 million people lack access to clean water, to which must be added 2,400 million people lack access to adequate sanitation. More than 2,200 million people in developing countries, mostly children, die each year from diseases associated with lack of potable water, adequate sanitation and hygiene. In addition, almost half of the inhabitants of developing countries suffering caused, directly or indirectly diseases by consuming contaminated food or water or by disease- causing organisms that grow in water.

Here are some tips that you as an individual can help improve the global water issues.

• Lock the keys while you soap , you rub in the bathroom , shave or brushing your teeth .

• Do not wash the sidewalk , floors or car to " hose stream " uses only the necessary buckets.

• Report any leaks you observe on the street , watch mechanisms tank toilets, water tanks and cisterns , repairing any leaks .

• Periodically check the walls of the tank and the proper functioning of the pump. Use only the strictly necessary water in the bathroom, washing dishes and laundry.

• When using the washing machine, using the maximum allowed clothes in each load.

• Do not water the garden during the hottest hours, the water evaporates . Watch your children, so that their games do not bathe water jet or bucketful’s . Do not use the toilet as a trash can.

• Use toilet tanks with controlled discharge device or low volume. One way to reduce the consumption of a conventional tanker is to introduce therein a bottle filled one to two liters of water.
