Lesson 4. Exercise 3B.

Karen: Come in, Harvey

Harvey: Hello, Karen. I’ ve looked into the hybrid cars for the reps and they do seem to be a very good idea. The main advantage is that they are comparatively cheap to run, now that gasolina is so expensive.

Karen: What about fuel efficiency?

Harvey: Well, ‘ ve researched that too. Hybrid cars have better fuel efficiency than traditional cars. Obviously, they are also much cleaner. They don’t pollute the atmosphere as much. That’s a big advantage, because we want to be socially responsable.

Karen: Yes, of course. And what about the disadvantages? There must be some disadvantages.

Harvey: Well, yes. They are more expensive, of course. On the hand, our reps keep their cars for three years and over that time period the hybrid is cheaper that a traditional car.

Karen: That’s goog. But are there many garages that service hybrid cars?

Harvey: Not yet: homever, the Speedy Drive garage does, and it’s only four blocks away from the office.

Karen: Well, it all sounds very interesting. First of all, can you work out the costs for the 35 cars we’d need for our sales representatives? Then, can you make a list of the advantages and disadvantages of hybrid cars, and send me the details later this week? I’d like the report by Friday, please.

Harvey: Yes, of course.

Karen: Entra, Harvey
