APA citation style refers to the rules and conventions established by the American Psychological Association for documenting sources used in a research paper. APA style requires both in-text citations and a reference list. For every in-text citation there should be a full citation in the reference list and vice versa.
• What is the importance of knowing how to make citations using APA?
It is very important knowing how to cite because this way we give credit to the author from which we gather information by another paper, also we provide evidence from where are we gather this information.
• How do I make citations using APA style?
APA Style uses brief citations within the text of a paper when referring to a source. The brief citation gives the author and year of the source in parentheses, allowing readers to locate the full citation in your reference list at the end of your paper. For example:
o Early onset results in a more persistent and severe course (Kessler, 2003)
