Jim Carrey

James Eugene Carrey, and Jim Carrey (born in Newmarket, Ontario on January 17, 1962) is an actor, comedian, singer and Canadian writer who also has U.S. citizenship. He was nominated for a Golden Globe four times, winning two.

Professional launch

In 1977, at age 15, encouraged by his father, began in a cabaret in Toronto imitating Elvis Presley, James Stewart and Jerry Lewis..

In the early 80s he decided to emigrate to Los Angeles (California) and started working at The Comedy Store, where he discovered the comedian Rodney Dangerfield, who signed the young to be the opening act of their duties.

Carrey has been married twice, first to actress Melissa Womer on March 28, 1987, the two were divorced in late 1995. His only daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, was born on 17 September 6, 1987, in Los Angeles County. After his separation from Womer in 1994, Carrey began dating his co movie Dumb and Dumber Lauren Holly.

They married on September 23, 1996, the marriage lasted less than a year. Carrey went to actress Renée Zellweger, whom he met in Me, Myself & Irene, but their relationship ended in December 2000.
