Are we too dependent on technology?

We use technology on a daily basis, definitely every single day. Sometimes we don’t even realize it. We wake up to that annoying sound called an alarm clock and brush our teeth with electric toothbrushes. Little things like these make our life more functional and easier. We are becoming too overly dependent on technology.

Technology is around us in many ways. One of the most important is our transportation. From train, to cars, to airplanes, boats have allowed us to get from one place to another. They provide us with air conditioning in hot days and heat in the winter. The technology also includes luxuries when traveling like GPS, radios, TV, etc.

Another huge impact technology has is in communication and social media. You can communicate with everyone throughout the world. One of the ways technology has control over us is social networks, sites like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Something happens and everyone knows it in just seconds. Therefore, we are really dependent on technology. Our lifestyles have changed and still continue to change each time a new invention is created. Ultimately, we can say that “living without technology is almost like living without air”.
