Didactic sequence: Competences in education

        

The concept of competences defines a person who has a “fitness expertise” that is suitable to do something or intervene in a particular case. Also they refer people skills and knowledge.

MC Lagan said that are related organizations and individuals, related with this topic, they must be conscious about differences that comprising her meaning, Mc Lagan exposes the different elements, that from their perspective they are what determinate their different meaning:

  • Competences such as task: This type of acceptation is conceived by some people such as work task and activities considered by team as competences.
  • Competences such as result: Here people conceive that the ability to produce benefits to the company.

A competition is a specific set of observable and measurable forms of behavior that can be classified in a logical way.

Individual skills are the sets of personal characteristics and knowledge which give people the ability to perform the duties pertaining to this occupation satisfactorily in relation to the objectives and strategies of the organization where they are.

Professional competence it is to understand the set of knowledge, skills and abilities that deriving from the formation, experience and history of a worker. For example this competence can defined like the proven ability to perform a particular task to perform in specific conditions and detailed. It is also important to note that competition is an amalgamation of knowledge, skills and attitudes. In some circumstances, it will be necessary to evaluate these components separately to understand the evaluation of competition. That mean also that sometimes is important particularly for diagnostic, evaluate of knowledge of more exhaustive way. We can see that along the history, some definitions of the concept, “competence” is supported in the professional objective and others indicates the ability to perform a certain activity.
