Garcia's tourist places

His principal tourist attraction it is Garcia's Caves, paradise of speleologists and lay people equally. Series of galleries are constituted by an extensísima by an antiquity of 500 thousand years. It is possible to accede to them across a teleférico; they are the familiar obliged step of every tourist who wants to know the State. Besides his extraordinary formations of stalactites and stalagmites, shells and snails they can be observed in the walls of several sections. For his nearness to Monterrey, García is one of the municipalities with major appreciation. His casonas of beginning of last century are a part of the color and the elegance norestense of this region.

Xenpal is a space dedicated to the conviviality of the public in general with great variety of exotic and domestic animals, located to the skirts of the hill of the Friar. Museums as the EYE, and the Pink House, where crafts appear, so much places as of the whole Mexico, The Museum Icamole, where one finds a collection of antiquities of the culture and the region; Besides The Ancient museum Palace of Government, where diverse exhibitions appear for seasons.

The Smoked Cave is considered to be one of the anthropologic niches of cave art so much in painting as in petrograbado with near 8 thousand years of antiquity. It is located in a cannon of the Hill of the Speck, way between The Fierros and Corner.

Placed to the North-East to 20 KM from García, one finds a former hull of an old estate established in the 18th century. It is a net historical site, since there were the Generals Porfirio Díaz, Gerónimo Treviño, Orange tree, Quiroga as well as Raúl Madero Gonzalez and Philip Ángeles, all of great military range, enclosed governing Genaro Garza García again León in several occasions. In Icamole there is born the legend of the crybaby of Icamole, in which it is said that Don Porfirio Díaz exploded in weeping for the impotence and the courage on having been defeated by the generals Jurisdiction and Quiroga in the battle of Tuxtepec's Revolution on May 20, 1876.

The steep and singular Hill of the Friar is an identity for the municipality. In the historical center there are the temple dedicated to San Juan Baptizer (principal temple), the Saint Christ (where they rest Lic's remains. Genaro Garza García) and one more dedicated to San Elías. All of them with more than 200 years.
