In this letter, I will tell you how the geography and the typical food of the beautiful city of Medellin are.

Medellin is located in the middle of the Valle de Aburra; it is over the Andes Central mountain range. The area of the city is over 380, 64 Km2. About 110, 22 Km2 are urban area and 270, 42 Km2 conform the rural area. The Valle de Aburra has an elongated shape from north to south. This Valle is totally urbanized in its plane part. The Valle is divided by the Medellin River, it has 57 falls.

There is a great variety of food in Medellin but the most popular one is the Bandeja Paisa. It has beans, rise, ground beef, chicharrón, morcilla, chorizo and corn, the Bandeja Paisa is usually goes with avocado, tomato and hogao. Other tradicional dishes from Medellin are the Mazamorra, the morcilla and the mondongo. They are all cocked with products from the Antioqueños’ fields.
