Miracle Babies.

1.- September 19th, 1985 became a crucial date in the lives of many mexican families. That day, an 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck mexico city and the following day, another 7.5 magnitude earthquake stuck again.

when the first earthquake struck the city, many people were getting ready to start the day. it was 7:19 a.m. local time

2.-The earthquake killed thousands of people and left more than 100,000 without a home. Many buldings collapsed. The list included two important hospitals. Many doctors, nurses, medical staff and patients died.

3.- people around the hospital area reacted inmediately. Professional rescuers, neighbors and patients' relatives used tools, and even their bare hands, to dig people out of the rubble. They rescued many people including several babies.

4.- Surprising some of the babies trapped after 7 days without any water, food or medical care. According to medical science, this is virtually impossible but those babies did it.

5.- They are 25 years old now; some of them are orphans living with their unlces and aunts or grandparents. Some of them work, some others study, but there is one that returns to the same hospital every day. This baby girl, now 25 years old, works in the medical lab, helping her community the best way she can. September 19th, 1985 was the day that changed poeple's lives forever.
