1- Waste Disposal:

a) Different ways of disposing waste and the problems associated with them.

Landfills: The most part of waste goes to landfills but here in Venezuela, there is not enough to contain all of waste. That's why they should find other places to put all waste. Another problem is that the landfill can be harmful to health. When it rains, water is mixed with the waste and forms a toxic soup that can leach into ground and may reach the water.

Burning garbage: Burning garbage is the cleanest solution, the resulting ash must be stored but this ash is toxic so it is dangerous to our health.

2- Genetically Modified Food ( GMF):

a) Advantages and disadvantages of genetically modified food

Advantages:

• Can reduce crop damage from adverse weather conditions.

• Can potentially improve nutritional value or other health benefits.

• Can improve water quality (more precise use of chemicals).

• Can reduce costs and labor intensity for farmers.

Disadventages:

• Genetically modified ingredients can cause cancer.

• It could raise new allergy in humans.

• Adverse effects on the immune system.

• Genetically modified products cannot be recovered.

3- Global Warming and the Greenhouse Effect:

a) Causes and Effects of Global Warming on our environment / planet.

The effects of global warming are the environmental and social changes caused (directly or indirectly) by human emissions of greenhouse gases.

One of the first things is that there are several greenhouse gases responsible for warming. Most come from the combustion of fossil fuels in cars, factories and electricity production. The gas responsible for the most warming is carbon dioxide. Global warming will be the cause of water pollution

4- Reality TV:

a) Reasons for the popularity of reality shows and the darker side of them.
