Objective:

• To study:

Verbs in the subjunctive, expressions used to describe marketing strategies, placement of direct and indirect objects, noun clauses with whoever & whatever and expressions that make communication flow more smoothly.

Procedure:

1. I checked out the Blackboard explanations for the Module number 3 and then,

2. I consulted the Student’s book according the Blackboard references for the unit 8, 9 and 10.

3. I answered some of the recommended exercises on my Student’s book.

4. According to the expressions studied in the book, I prepared my report about a new product or service.

Results:

Think of a new product or service you think would be successful.

What is it?

Coffee’s service during the red traffic lights.

Who is it for?

Whoever:

Believes in concurrence, making simultaneous activities.

Does not have time to take his/her breakfast.

Enjoys a good coffee in the mornings.

Is a coffee lover.

How does it work?

During the red traffic lights, you have around 30 to 60 free seconds. Life is going faster and faster each time then, having the opportunity to buy a coffee during this time, could make it worth and satisfactory.

How would you advertise it or promote it?

First of all, I consider the “product placement” is essential as the first option to promote it. Is crucial to place the product in the context and environment in which will be used, to observe the customer’s behavior and start the analysis of the acceptance level.

Conclusion:

I was able to learn new expressions for the marketing strategies and to improve my communication through words that can make my conversations smoothers.

Regarding the development of the report, it was not confusing but, at the beginning, it was hard to think about a product or service and how to promote it.
