Social practice of the language (Social purpose):

Give and receive information for performing community service.

Week 1

1. Welcome students to the new school. An ice break activity. (Fruit cocktail) Vocabulary: watermelon, mango, Fruit cocktail. One of the ss will say the name of a fruit and his/her partner will tell his /her partner´s name to the rest of the group. (mango-right, watermelon-left, cocktail everybody moves) Confidence-

2. Classroom rules explained by teacher Ss will learn new vocabulary. Ss will write some rules they should follow in the class.

Week 2

1. Diagnostic Test They´ll have an English test to know how much they know.

2. Feed back (I´ll give them the answers) Ss will realize how much they know. Check their tests.

3. Review classroom vocabulary Listen the sentences and practice them. Participate during oral practices.

Week 3

1. Ss will introduce themselves by practicing dialogs Ss will structure dialogs as examples given by the teacher in class They´ll practice dialogs with their own information Ss will participate in oral exchanges and foster confidence.

2. Teacher will guide them to write the dialogs they practiced orally last class and will introduce numbers, months and days, people titles (Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms) They will write a dialog with the structure explained by me.(opening, body, closure) They will write a dialog in pairs. Cooperative work with their partners.

3. We´ll practice the alphabet by singing. The alphabet Ss will practice a song about the alphabet in order to learn it. They will foster confidence.

Week 4

1. Students will practice spelling in class by dictating different words to their partners ( countries and nationalities) Spelling. Ss will practice spelling of some words. They will foster confidence.

1. Review greetings, dates, vocabulary (countries, nationalities, professions and occupations numbers, etc,) and dialogs about introductions Words necessary for the social practice of the language.
