When is lying ok?

I believe that lying is not acceptable.First of all, you can hurt someones feelings on purpose. Second, the lie can grow very much and can become a very big deal. Over all, lying is bad for your mentao education.

First of all, you can hurt someone's feelings on purpose. For example, you say something true and hurtful to someone. Then, that person says something true and hurtful about you. Finally, you say a hurtful lie that is a really personal topic. You hurt someone's feeling on purpose with a lie. In the polital campaign of "Lies,Lies,Lies" these types of lies are called " Trust me on this one ".

Second, lies can grow off proportion. A white can grow into a big deal. For example, my mom and I go shopping and my mom takes too much time in the stores, just because I want to save time so I say that an ugly dress is beutiful. Then she wears it to a big party and someone says that its ugly. Atfter a while, she knew the dress was ugly and she is very angry at me. I should've told her the truth beforehand and she got angrier than usual. To prove this, a mother from the article"It's the truth: Americans are conflicted about lying "states that the mother tells her son that there are no cartoons in the TV. The mother knows that the son can find out anytime. The son will be very anger because his mom lied to him.

Randy Cohen says it's okay for little white lies, but what if these "White lies" go from nothing to something. My argument points out that any lies are bad, but his argument says it's sometimes okay. If someone were to tell me wrong, I would tell them if they want to get hurt for a little while or for a long time. This is important because lying is bad for you no matter what it is.So think about it, would you lie until people it's a lie, or just tell the truth?
