International Conflict: War

In my opinion, since antiquity to the present day there have been wars, battles, conflicts among two countries or more, and many of them with the purpose to conquer territories or to win independence. An example of international conflict was the Vietnam War because it got involved other countries, and it was remarkable for using chemical weapons. Therefore; a war brings negative consequences to children, soldiers, civilians, and the economy of the country. Also, the fear plays an important role in our lives during the development of a war.

For example, the war of Vietnam began with a civil war because North Vietnam through of the communist guerrillas against South Vietnam will want to overthrow it. Afterwards, it became an international conflict when United States and forty countries more supported to South Vietnam that was a democratic nation while Russia and Red China supported to North Vietnam that was a communist nation. This war was devastating because United States and allies sprayed chemical weapons such as, Napalm and the Agent Orange over Vietnam having as result the killing of many innocent civilians and American militias. Moreover, these chemical weapons had a negative impact on the environment killing agricultural area.

Then, I can consider a war as a disaster because the negative consequences are more than the positive. For example, many children lose their parents during the war and many of them have become orphans, and these children probably will have psychological problems in the future. Furthermore, many soldiers and civilians could be affected physically because during the war have lost a part of their body and have suffered a grave wound to cause of a bomb, punishment, sexual abuse, torture, and so on. Others have seen their relatives, friends, acquaintances, strangers to die. Therefore, these bloody scenes will live in their minds bringing them emotional problems. Also, the economy of the country could be affected by the war because of other countries will not want to invest with the country in conflict because of they will not want to put in risk their money.

During a war, people live with fear because they do not know in what moment they could be assassinated or they do not know where they go. Fear is not only in the country in conflict but also for those countries who find out the news through the television or any communication media. For example, in my case when I watched the news about more than one thousand three hundred civilians were killed by chemical weapons in Syria because of a civil war between government and rebels. Therefore, United States and allies wanted to intervene in Syria while Russia, Iran, and China were supporting Syria. I was afraid because I thought that would be a third world war. During those days, I had created a scenario where Miami would be attacked by Russia with bombs and all of us had the dead
