INTRODUCCION GENERAL: durante nuestro recorrido por la Ruta Dominica les proporcionaremos todo tipo de curiosidades y datos historicos sobre nuestros diferentes destinos, la ruta está integrada por San Juan Bautista Coixtlahuaca, San Pedro y San Pablo Teposcolula y nuestra primera parada, (pausa) Santo Domingo Yanhuitlan.

INTRODUCCION: Santo Domingo Yanhuitlan está ubicado en la región de Mixteca Alta,  desde su instauración como convento ha pasado por una serie de hechos históricos, que explicaremos más adelante, Yanhuitlán es un nombre náhuatl, de Yancui: que significa "cosa o pueblo nuevo” y Tlan: que significa "en la cercanía de".

ECOSISTEM OF SANTO DOMINGO YANHUITLAN:

It is grassland, with a varied flora and fauna, the globe's most agriculturally useful land, In times past there was an immense forest that served for the construction of the temple.

There are two different kinds of grasslands: tropical and temperate. Grasslands in the southern hemisphere tend to get more precipitation than those in the northern hemisphere. As be located in the southern hemisphere of the globe, in this region, rainfall is more frequent, making possible the growth of trees, and that agriculture prosper.

It is a mountainous region of the subprovince of the Mixteca Alta.

FLORA AND FAUNA OF SANTO DOMINGO YANHUITLAN:

As this region have a template weather, is the perfect habitat for many different species of birds, such as: Cuitlacoche Pico Curvo (Toxostoma curvirostre), Dominican goldfinches (Spinus psaltria), Aguililla Cola Roja (Buteo jamaicensis), or Earthquake Groundquake (Conopsis acuta) also is the home of many reptiles, such as the Southern Spiny Slit Lizard (Sceloporus aureoles), or the Water snake (Thamnophis bogerti), all this awesome animals live surrounded of many species of plants, such as encinos and oaks brambles, giant reed, watercress, red nanche san francisco flower, eye of rooster, cordelina granad, corncob, etc

INTRODUCCION: Nuestra próxima parada es San Pedro y San Pablo Teposcolula, El nombre original es Teposcololan y significa: "Junto a la torcedura del cobre", proviene de las voces Tepoztli: cobre, Colotl: torcedura y a la variante Tla: junto o entre.
