Rodeos

There are many sports or cultural activities in which people put into practice their skills around the world, but it should be noted that these practices occurs not only among them, but also with animals, and one of these is famously called Rodeo. Rodeo is an exhibition or contest in which cowboys show their skill at riding broncos, roping calves, wrestling steers, etc. (1) While some people call it culture in most of the countries of America and Europe, others question it and even arise poor prospects coming to know the serious damage that animals suffers in the majority of cases. On this occasion I will let you know my opinion of this activity which takes place around the world. I believe that the breeding of animals as food or commercial origin is one of the main sources of income of countries. The treatment given to those depends on their owners, as I mentioned previously, it is normal that many people carry an activity as the rodeoin his life since it is part of the culture of his country and for others not, although we must recognize that the animals in these activities leave very injured. The big question that all we do is: Is it human to kill animals for fun? I sincerely think not. We must remember that human beings are rational animals, therefore, animals feel like you and I. Ask yourself, do you want to be attacked? Just think it. This is the reason why I don't agree with this activity that only leads to death of a living being. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) contend that all animals used in rodeo performances are treated in inhumane ways and they are vigorously opposed to any use of animals by humans, especially rodeo performances. (2) And not only this organization, also many people in the world are making protests against this activity. I think that if there was no mistreatment of animals, fun shape seem right with them, but as it is the opposite, I am in disagreement. As we can see, this issue has been very controversial that is divided by people who are in agreement and others that don’t. Many of them were born with that culture, others don’t know the meaning of “rodeo”. In conclusion, rodeos can become one of the largest murders of living beings in the world. We can also say that this activity of many people do it, can change it perspective or idea of how wonderful that animals are.
