Flight Facilities

Flight Facilities is an Australian indie electro DJ duo who also performs as Hugo & Jimmy. In 2009 they began mixing songs by other artists before crafting their own original material. The duo consists of Hugo Stuart Gruzman and James "Jimmy" Nathan Lyell: they are the co-writers of "Crave You" – their first original song – with the track's vocalist, Giselle Rosselli. The track was listed at No. 19 in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2010. As a remix the song "Crave You" was featured on MTV's partnered website Ourstage through American Rap artist The Kid Bilal as a remix called "She Craves Me".[2]

The duo have also written for Louis Austen.

History[edit]Flight Facilities are a duo, Hugo Stuart Gruzman and James "Jimmy" Nathan Lyell, which first began mixing various songs by other artists in 2009 in Sydney.[3] They have worked for Bag Raiders, Toecutter and Sneaky Sound System.[4][3] Their first original song, "Crave You" featuring Giselle Rosselli, received considerable airtime on the Australian radio station, Triple J in 2010.[3][5] It was co-written by Guzman, Lyell and Rosselli after the duo contacted the vocalist to provide an original track for a compilation album by their label, Bang Gang.[3][6] In July 2010 Flight Facilities commenced their first tour, Maiden Voyage.[3] They played at various Australian nightclubs: Elsewhere on The Gold Coast, Empire in Brisbane, Limbo in Adelaide, and Adult Disco in Sydney before going to Japan to play at Onzieme in Osaka, and Le Baron in Tokyo.[7] "Crave You" was listed at No. 19 in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2010.[8]

In 2011, Foreign Language won a J-Award for Music Video,[9] and appeared as number 72 in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2011.[10] In February that year while performing as Hugo & Jimmy in Jakarta, Indonesia, the duo claimed to be from Trinidad and Tobago.[4][11][12] They have jokingly told journalists the same thing and that they are Calvin Harris.[13]

In 2012, Clair de Lune appeared as number 17 in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2012.[14]

In 2013, they are touring as part of Triple J's 'House Party Tour,' sporting aviator jackets, flying goggles and caps as part of their act. The song Shine A Light (Flight Facilities Remix), originally recorded by The C90s, gained mainstream popularity in 2013, when featured in the game Grand Theft Auto V, by Rockstar Games.
