Theory of Evolution

Introduction

There are many theories about how we have gotten to where we are now and one of the most controversial theories is the one that Darwin did which is the theory of evolution and it’s the one I’m going to try to explain and see a little bit about it.

Theory of Evolution

The theory of evolution is the one who tries to explain how we came here using scientific proves with DNA, the missed things of the past and the way things have changed with the pass of the time.

This theory has 3 main points that can explain it correctly which are:

1) The descendants inherit the characters of the progenitors from generation to generation. Darwin, however, did not know the laws of inheritance on which he was working precisely in the years in which he made his theory known. The laws of the inheritance that today are accepted scientifically and that were discovered by Mendel were not known until the beginning of the 20th century. The explanations proposed by Darwin for the inheritance of the characters were erroneous and were soon rejected. These explanations, however, were not part of the content of the "Origin of species".

2) In the process of inheritance spontaneous variations occur by chance or blind. We speak of variations by chance or blind in a double sense. On the one hand its causes cannot be determined. On the other hand, these variations are not oriented to a better adaptation of the organism to the environment there is no a prior orientation in them. In the first edition of the "Origin of Species" Darwin explicitly rejected the inheritance of acquired characters advocated by Lamarck. Later, however, he qualified the rejection.

3) There is differentiated reproduction in the individuals of a population. The reason is twofold: either some individuals have greater fertility than others, or they are better adapted to the environment. Better adaptation to the environment will result in greater survival and, consequently, in greater offspring.

Conclusion

Life can have different perspectives, and this is the reason of why there are more than one theory and is better if you have proofs to prove your theory so it’s easier to convince people to believe in your theory.

Darwin’s theory is a good example that what he’s saying is right or it can be possible by using his proofs and tests.
