Three Main Reasons to Hide Homosexuality

Probably you've ever disagreed with what someone says in class, work or even a social circle of friends. Surely you have thought and acted differently to what others believe is right. How did you feel when no one understands your actions? These questions are what we do every day and many of us do not realize that there are other people who have the same questions as in the case of homosexuals. Homosexuals are people who are attracted to the same sex. It is not yet known for sure the reason causing homosexuality. Most people realize their inclinations in adolescence, which defines completely the feelings towards another human being and sexual desire begins. Spanish writers like Luis Cernuda (1939) in his poem "If man could say" show us that homosexuality has been part of humanity throughout all time. The problem is that many homosexuals choose to never talk about their feelings and kept secret for many reasons. These include: the possible rejection by their parents, religion and society so hard that the judges.

In most cases the parents and close relatives are not given the task of caring for their children and when the individual confesses his feelings, they cannot believe what is happening and they start the prohibitions and requirements of part of them. Cecilia Luz (2010) said "The issue of family acceptance is well prevalent among gays. This denotes his concern”. Therefore, the love, support and attention of parents makes a difference for a safer and emotionally healthy, in contrast to others, who are fortunate homosexual rejection and isolation. Punishments will be necessary when they told the truth?

The second reason is the religion, another factor that greatly influences the tolerance and acceptance towards this type of people. They think it’s not possible for someone to feel love for another of the same sex. But Pope Benedict XVI (nd) says "Homosexuality is an objective disorder. Catholic Church should welcome with respect, compassion and sensitivity to all homosexuals, but also requiring them to live in chastity. "The Pope (nd ) argues that homosexuals are " people should not be discriminated against ," but certainly not " homosexuality becomes morally just, but remains as something that is against the nature of what God originally wanted ." They make you believe that being gay is a sin and that God does not agree with that behavior. Why believe them if they belong to the church have committed the worst crimes and the worst atrocities around the whole story. If GOD is LOVE then who is the real sinner?

Finally we see the fear of a harsh society that does not tolerate this kind of behavior. So when a person chooses to tell that it’s gay the first thing that get is ridicule and rejection of others. The actress, producer, activist and philanthropist Marlo Thomas (nd) said: "I do not think homosexuality is a choice. Society forces you to think it's a choice, but in fact, it’s in one's nature. The choice is whether one Expresses one's nature truthfully or spends the rest of one's life lying about it. " Most of those who confess they decide to leave their environment and because of the circumstances leave teams, clubs , etc ... People do not understand that it is not a disease , much less a crime. Nor do they understand that it is very likely that a family member or friend going through the same and do not presume to speak for the same fear.

What about us? We have no right to judge anyone for any reason. Much less have the power to reject or discriminate against a man because of his sexual preference. We must learn to respect and love each other as we are. Homosexuality is not a
