Theory X and theory Y

This theory talks about of two ways of thinking in managers which he called "Theory X" and "Theory Y". There are two theories of management, in the first, tell us that managers believe that workers act only under threat and the second theory tell us that managers are based on the principle that people want and need work.

The advantage and disadvantage.

The theory X assumes that worker is pessimistic, static, rigid. The manager think that the worker is little ambitious, he want the security, prefer avoid the responsibilities and they need to be directed. Consider that achieve the goals is necessary push the employee, have the control of them, punish and reward with money.

The theory Y on the other hand, is characterized by considering the worker the most important active of the company. Workers are considered optimists, dynamic and flexible.

This theory considers that the worker feel motivated and want to improve, are self-directed to the objectives entrusted to them, they have creativity and imagination.

In conclusion we think the theory Y nowadays it’s the most important to improve in the company and be successful because if your employees are happiness they will do right all the tasks.
