La Importancia de las Redes de Transportes

 

DISTRIBUTION IN COMPANIES

It is the set of activities that are carried out from the time the product is labeled to the manufacturer or the company until the consumer is understood and is also the key for any entrepreneur Knowing this means having a balance between time and budget or the disappointing customers.

The choice of means of transport in commerce has a very significant impact on the total price of the merchandise and, therefore, directly on the competition in the market. How to carry it out successfully is closely related to which transport is chosen and with the reason for that choice.

What is the influence of the choice of means of transport

There are several factors that can be understood by one choice or another, in an international transport that is concerned. The aspects that have the greatest impact are:

• Price.

• Delivery terms.

• Documentation.

• Customs formalities.

• Security.

• Competitiveness, company image, reliability and seriousness, are factors that can also be affected by a bad choice in terms of transport in international trade.

Therefore, when it comes to choosing the means of transport to be used in the export (or import) must take into account the following variables:

• Distance to travel or itinerary.

• Freight cost.

• Frequency of transport and average delivery time.

• Characteristics of the merchandise.

• Unit value of the goods.

• Weight and volume of the product to be loaded.

• Customer needs and stock requirement.

• Needs and adjacent costs (such as storage or inventories).

 In case of international cargo

 The necessary documentation would be the proper choice of means of transport in an international operation has much to do with the knowledge of the conditions to which each option is subject. Experience and training are key to better understand the strengths of each type of transport, but they are also required when taking into account the documentation that will be necessary in each case. The most common examples are:

• Maritime: nominative bill of lading, to the order or bearer.

• Fluvial: bill of lading.

• Aerial: aerial guide.

• Road:

Letter of carriage to the bearer, nominative, unimodal, to order, joint or indistinct.

• Railway: consignment note.

• Multimodal: knowledge of multimodal transport.

The road there are advantages and disadvantages, which are

• • It is cheaper, but not friendly to the environment.

• • The height, weight and length restrictions of the truck must be taken into account.

•        To train

• • It is faster, friendlier to the environment and does not have frequent delays.
