II. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS
Se utilizó un Mapa de la zona, se estableció como unidades de evaluación 04 transectos, los mismos que una vez definidos en el plano, se procedió a ubicarlos en el campo con ayuda de un GPS Garmin Etrex, ya en el punto inicial se hizo el recorrido a una velocidad de alrededor de 01 km/hr. Este Método Lineal I.K.A. (índice Kilométrico de Abundancia) se trabajó con un ancho de banda de 50 metros (25 a cada lado de la línea de recorrido). Visualmente o con ayuda de binoculares se realizó la determinación y el conteo de las aves avistadas y/o oídas.
La determinación de las especies se realizó por observación, empleando binoculares Vanguard DF-821Q de 33 8x21 mm.; utilizando como fuentes de consulta las obras de Koepcke (1964), Meyer y Phelps (1978), Meyer de Schauensee (1982), Dunning (1982), Hilty y Erown (1986) y Araya y Chester (1993), Clements & Sain (2001) y Schulemberg et al. (2010).
