Exploration: learning activities.

We begin this topic with an inspection on concepts that have to do with the strength and the newton’s laws about the motion. Share your views with the rest of the group. As we work our way through this chapter you’ll learn the correct answers to the same.

1. What do you understand by forcé?

2. A gril that weighs 50 kg stands on two scales, whit a foot on each. How much will each scale mark, and why?

What if you rest more weight on one foot that the other?

Why is that?

3. Here on earth, a person has mass of 80 kg what would happen to that mass, if the person will be on the Surface of the moon?

4. If a truck accelerates from rest, a passenger on the same vehicle tends to fall backwards, why and if braked the passenger tends to fall forward why?

5. A ball that rolls along the floor, it does not continue running indefinitely, but stops after a timee, why? This is because, as aristotle said, the natural state of the ball is to rest, or because, as newton said, there is a forcé that acts on it if so, how would you describe such a forcé?

6. If an archer throws horizontally an arrow on the Surface of earth and also do so on the moon. How the movement be in both places? Equal or different. Why? What differences or similarities would it have?

7. If the archer launches the arrow in a place where there ir no gravitational action, how is that it would the movement of the aeeow be?

8. What do you understand by inertia? Make one description of this concept with an example.

9. Nelly may slip perfectly well with her ice-skates as shown in the figure, what would happen if Nelly tried to do the same thing on the asphalt? Justify your response.

10. Same as the previous example, ther now slip on the asphalt, writh their shoes, what would happen if you try to do the same on the ice? Justify your response.

Acquisition of knowledge activity.

Phase 1

1. Design work equipment with 4 friends and respond to the following issues tht were seen in the previous learning unit.

A) Outlines the differences between vector and scalar quantities

B) What meaning have concurrent and non-concurrent vectors?

C) How to change the magnitude of the resulting vector between two if the angle between them decreases?

D) What is the sum of three vectors that form a closed triangle?

E) What is the procedure for adding two concurrent vectors?

F) What is the producer for adding two not concurrent vectors?

G) If two forcé vectors have magnitudes of 8N and 10N, what angle is the magnitude of the resultant máximum? And, what angle the magntiude of the resultant is mínimum?

H) Under which condition the magnitude of a vector is equal to that of one of its components?

I) If a vector F is drawn on a plane x y, what range of values can Take the angle if:

I. Its components x and y are both positive?

II. Its component x is positive and its component y is negative?

III. Its components x and y re both negative?

IV. Its component x is negative and its omponent y is positive?

Phase 3.

Problema Procedure Interpretation of the results

1. Find the resultant forcé by addition of F1 = 90N and F2= 35N, if are forming an angle of 60° between them.

2. Find the final position os a person if travels 6km to the north, 8km to the east and 7km to the south.

3. Find the resultant forcé acting on a body to which it applies F1= 40N to 30°, F2= 50 N to 120° and F3= 30N to 300°

4. Find the resultant forcé acting on a body to which it applies F1= 80N to 130°, F2= 50 N to 250° and F3= 70N to 300°

5. Find the final position of a car if travels 50km to the NE, 38km to south an 70km to the west.

6. Find the final position of a person if travels 15km to the north, 16km to the south and 17km to the west

7. Find the resultant forcé acting on a body to which it applies F1= 90 N to 160° and F2=100n TO 230°

Organization and hierarchy activity
