Network Support Administration this is the career I decided to study because I'm always working around computers and also I like to give the support that my clients need when they need my help. But not just only problems with their computers also with network problems. Is something I love and enjoy to do. During my military job it was my hobby but now that I serve my time in the military I want to change my hobby to a career and since I have a bachelor in computer science this will be my perfect opportunity to raise even more in the IT field.

What does a network administrator does? It manages both the physical and virtual aspects of the computer network of a business or organization. A network can be as small as two computers and a printer in one office, or it can serve an international business with multiple offices. Big part of it consist of install and support LANs, Network hardware and software. At the same time monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users, evaluate and modify system`s performance, design and deploy network. In this field I will be administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smart phones, software deployment, security updates and patches, among other things.

Technology is a field that grow a lot day by day and that's one of the reasons I choose to study Network Support Administration; at the same time it is also a field that you can growth by the time. Everything is surrounded by network for example: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. For example, LinkedIn is often thought of as an “online resume,” ideally you customize your resume specifically for a certain position and employer you’re applying to. Other example is Facabook, one of the most impacting social networking service.

For the reason that it's a field with a lot of demanding and changes the best way to be prepared for a job you need to have some certifications. If you don't have this certifications but you have a lot of collage education it won't have to much weight in your resume or experience because certifications prove that your are up to date in all the new changes and you are proving with practice that your know what to do an any technology situation. I can be a example of this because when I was looking for a job in this field the first thing they asked me was: Are you certified in Comptia A+? Are you certified in Security +? Are you certified in Network +? Are you CISCO certified? . For that reason you have to keep all you need to fulfill.

In conclusion, if one of your life goal is been a Network Support Administrator, you have to keep in mind the good and bad sides. Of course, everything have two sides but the best way to get through the is been prepared. It's a really good field in this days especially when almost everything move with technology and every company needs a Network Support
