How often do you do…?

In this activity you will ask and answer often do you do some activities.

Part A

1. Find the meaning in Spanish for the following expressions of frequency.

1. Think of some of the activities you do and how often (how frequently) you do them. Complete the sentences below with real information about you.

Example: I go to the gym two or three times a week.

1. I hang out with my friends every Saturday.
2. I play soccer once a week.
3. I go to shopping once or twice a month.
4. I play piano twice a week.

1. Individually, write three questions using ‘’how often do you…?’’ ask about the use of means of transportation that are familiar to you. For example:

How often do you take the bus? Or How often do you take the subway?

1. How often do you use bicycle?
2. How often do you drive the car?
3. How often do you use roller skates?

1. When you finish, take turns asking and answering the three questions. Write your partnes answers.

Part B

1. Play the game how often do you do…? Before playing it, get together in teams of five or six, and:

1. Make sure you understand the meaning of the words in the game chart.
2. Use the frequently expressions in part A, or the ones in your textbook.

1. Get a dice and some counters and place your counter in the start square.
2. Throw the dice. The students who rolls the highest numbers goes first. Take turns rolling the dice and moving around the board.
3. When you land on a square, the person on you left will ask you the question written on it. For example: if you land on the squarethat says ‘go to the beach’, the questions will be ‘’how often do you do go to the beach’’.
4. You must answer using the appropriate frecuency expressions. If you answer the questionas indicated, you stay in the square where you landed. In case you don’t answer, you have to go back one square.
5. The game goes on until all students reach ‘’finish’’ square.
