Drogas cardiovasculares

Adrenalina – Categoría de Embarazo C. Incrementa la frecuencia cardíaca, contrae los vasos sanguíneos, dilata los conductos de aire, y participa en la reacción de lucha o huida del sistema nervioso simpático. La adrenalina se usa como medicamento para tratar el paro cardíaco y otras arritmias cardíacas que resulten en un gasto cardíaco disminuido o ausente. La acción de la adrenalina consiste en el incremento de la resistencia periférica mediante la vasoconstricción receptor α1-dependiente y el incremento del gasto cardíaco mediante su unión a los receptores β1

Dopamina- Pregnancy Category C. Agonist, vasopressor, inotropic agent. Increased B/P, Cardiac output; Shock, to increased perfusion, hypotension, cardiogenic/septic shock.

Dobutamina- Pregnancy Category B. Adrenergic direct-acting B1-agonist, inotropic agent, cardiac stimulant. Cardiac output increased with decreased fatigue and dyspnea. Cardiac decompensation due to organic heart disease or cardiac surgery.

Atropina- Pregnancy Category C. Antidysrhythmic, Anticholinergic parasympatholytic, mydriatic. Increase heart rate. Bradycardia <40-50 bpm, bradydysrhythmia, reversal of anticholinesterase agents, blocking cardial vagal reflexes, bronchodilatador.

Noradrenalina(Levophed)- Pregnancy Category C For blood pressure control in certain acute hypotensive states (e.g., pheochromocytomectomy, sympathectomy, poliomyelitis, spinal anesthesia, myocardial infarction, septicemia, blood transfusion, and drug reactions). As an adjunct in the treatment of cardiac arrest and profound hypotension.

Efedrina- Pregnancy Category C. Ephedrine Sulfate Injection, USP is indicated in the treatment of allergic disorders, such as bronchial asthma. The drug has long been used as a pressor agent, particularly during spinal anesthesia when hypotension frequently occurs. In Stokes-Adams syndrome with complete heart block, ephedrine has a value similar to that of epinephrine. It is indicated as a central nervous system stimulant in narcolepsy and depressive states. It is also used in myasthenia gravis.

Nitroglierina- Pregnancy Category C. Coronary vasodilator, antianginal. Prevention of angina attack. Chronic stable angina pectoris, prophylaxis of angina pain, CHF associated with acute MI, controlled hypotension in surgical procedures.

Isosorbitina(Isordil)- Pregnancy Category C. Isordil (isosorbide dinitrate) Sublingual tablets are indicated for the prevention and treatment of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. However, because the onset of action of sublingual ISDN is significantly slower than that of sublingual nitroglycerin, sublingual ISDN is not the drug of first choice for abortion of an acute anginal episode.

Vasopresina (Pitresin)- Categoría de embarazo C. Pitressin is indicated for prevention and treatment of postoperative abdominal distention, in abdominal roentgenography to dispel interfering gas shadows, and in diabetes insipidus.

Beta bloqueadores y Antihipertensivos

Esmolol (Brevibloc)- Pregnancy Category C. Brevibloc (Esmolol Hydrochloride) is indicated for the rapid control of ventricular rate in patients with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter in perioperative, postoperative, or other emergent circumstances where short term control of ventricular rate with a short-acting agent is desirable. Brevibloc is also indicated in noncompensatory sinus tachycardia where, in the physician’s judgment, the rapid heart rate requires specific intervention. Brevibloc is intended for short-term use.

Propanolol (Inderal)- Pregnancy Category C. Hypertension: Inderal is indicated in the management of hypertension. It may be used alone or used in combination with other antihypertensive agents, particularly a thiazide diuretic. Inderal is not indicatedin the management of hypertensive emergencies. Angina Pectoris Due to Coronary Atherosclerosis Inderal is indicated to decrease angina frequency and increase exercise tolerance in patients with angina pectoris. Atrial Fibrillation.Inderal is indicated to control ventricular rate in patients with atrial fibrillation and a rapid ventricular response.Myocardial Infarction. Inderal is indicated to reduce cardiovascular mortality in patients who have survived the acute phase of myocardial infarction and are clinically stable.

Atenolol (Tenormin)- Pregnancy Category D . Atenolol (Tenormin) is in a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). Atenolol is used to treat angina (chest pain) and hypertension (high blood pressure). It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack.

Ditiazem (Tilazem)- Pregnancy Category C. is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood vessels. Diltiazem is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders

Verapamil (Manidon)- Pregnancy Category C. Calcium-channel blocker, antihypertensive, antianginal, antidysrhythmic. Decreased angina pectoris, dysrhythmias, B/P. Chronic stable vasospastic, unstable angina, dysrhythmias, hypertension, supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter or fibrillation. Prevention of migraine headaches, claudication, mania.

Clonidina (Catapresan)- Pregnancy Category C. Catapres (clonidine) lowers blood pressure by decreasing the levels of certain chemicals in your blood. This allows your blood vessels to relax and your heart to beat more slowly and easily. Catapres is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

Nifedipina (Adalat)- Pregnancy Category C. . Calcium-channel blocker, antihypertensive, antianginal. Decreased angina pectoris, decreased B/P in hypertension. . Chronic stable angina pectoris, vasospastic angina, hypertension.

Nitroprusiato (Nipride)- Pregnancy Category C. Antihypertensive, vasodilator. Decreased B/P in hypertensive crisis, decreased preload, afterload. Decreased bleeding by creating hypotension during surgery, acute CHF.

Antiarritmicos

Amiodarona- Pregnancy Category D. Antidysrhythmic. Decreased amount and severity of ventricular dysrhythmias. Severe ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation not controlled by 1st line agents

Lidocaína- Pregnancy Category B. Antidysrhythmic. Decreased ventricular dysrhythmia. Ventricular tachycardia, ventricular dysrhythmia during cardiac surgery, MI, digoxin toxicity, cardiac catheterization.

Digoxina- Pregnancy Category C. Heart Failure:Digoxin is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure. Digoxin increases left ventricular ejection fraction and improves heart failure symptoms as evidenced by exercise capacity
