LA MUJER Y EL RETO DE SER ESPOSA, MADRE Y EJECUTIVA A LA VEZ

Dada la avanzada incorporación de la mujer al mercado laboral en las últimas décadas, resulta un problema y reto para ella poder lograr un balance entre su vida profesional y familiar.

 El objetivo es identificar cual es la opinión de las mujeres ejecutivas con respecto al equilibrio trabajo-vida familiar, y las dificultades por las que tiene que pasar para llevar a cabo ambas actividades con el éxito deseado; es importante que las empresas y el Estado puedan conocer estas opiniones para que puedan ejecutar planes dirigidos a promover dicho equilibrio.

El estudio tiene una naturaleza cualitativa, dado que se recolectará información por medio de encuestas para conocer la opinión de las mujeres ejecutivas acerca de su percepción y opinión del tema en cuestión.

Luego de realizadas dichas encuestas se pueden extraer entre los puntos más importantes de que las mujeres ejecutivas desarrollan algunas estrategias para lograr el balance deseado, como administrar su hogar, buscar el tiempo necesario para educar y acompañar a sus hijos, solicitar permisos en sus trabajos para tener días libres con su familia, etc. Se puede concluir de que las mujeres ejecutivas necesitan de algunos requisitos para lograr el balance trabajo-vida familiar como  por ejemplo trabajar ocho horas diarias como máximo, posibilidad de solicitar a la empresa poder realizar algunos trabajos desde su casa para tener más tiempo con su familia, solicitar beneficios adicionales para compartirlos con su familia entre los más importantes.

WOMEN AND THE CHALLENGE OF BEING A WIFE, MOTHER AND EXECUTIVE ALL AT THE SAME TIME

Due to the increase on the number of women making a place for themselves in the labour market in the latest decades, it has become a problem and a challenge for them to be able to achieve a work-life balance.

The objective is to identify what the opinion of these executive women is with respect to the balance between their lives at home and work, and also the difficulties they have to face to succeed in both activities; it is, therefore, important for enterprises and the government to consider these opinions in order to design plans directed to promote this so said, balance.

The research has a qualitative nature, as information will be collected by means of surveys to know the opinion of executive women concerning their perception and view on the topic of discussion.

Following the conclusion of the surveys, it can be single out, among the main points, that executive women do develop some strategies to obtain the desired balance: whether organizing home life, allowing enough time to educate and be with their children or requesting time off from work to spend it with their families, etc. It can be concluded that working women need a few essential requirements to make work-life balance effective, such as working eight hours tops, the possibility of asking the company to be able to do some of their work from home in order to have more free time for their families, requesting additional benefits to include members of their family to the most important of them.
