As seen in both Lissitzky and Stirling’s manifestoes, the need for architecture to adapt to a change is also reflected in the following New Brutalism and Metabolism theories. Without doubt, architecture is ever changing. This idea that will enable us to adapt properly to such change into making architecture a profitable, confortable and efficient tool for the human being. The most important issue that can be extracted from Lissitzky’s work is the fact that architecture must be connected to the community in order to have a positive effect upon its development. Moreover, Stirling’s work expresses the need to join and incorporate technology and tradition in the upcoming changes in architecture. Such values, such as tradition, come into play in Kurokawa, Terry, and the SITE’s theories as new changes are being addressed.

Altogether, both the Metabolism and New Brutalism movement focuses on creating a bond between the people, the people’s needs and values, architecture, and technology. Understanding the connection between these factors will ensure the performance of architecture. However, even though they all have the search for a further connection with the human race, each manifesto states a specific requirement/connection that must be met in order for architecture to function properly. Kurokawa expresses how technology is just an extension of humanity as it denotes human vitality. The search to create a space that a human being can operate is the ultimate purpose of such bond. With this in mind, SITE’s manifesto states how the psychology and sociology of a space has an immense influence in the effectiveness of architecture. Last, Terry states how religion plays an important role as communities change. Architecture can be used as a tool to bring religion closer to the community. Altogether, it is seen how each manifesto has an attachment to a specific value or trait of the community. Moreover, these values are constantly being adjusted in order to meet with the communal changes that come naturally.

These movements have a strong effect in the present world since communities are still changing. Architecture has the purpose of meeting the needs of the community and satisfying its demand. Through the understanding of such connection between the community, design, and technology, architecture will have an efficient and functional effect that will facilitate the order and swell performance of the overall community.
