ORAL PRESENBNTATION

1. Good morning teacher and classmates. Please let me introduce myself, my name is Milen Celedon, I am a second year gastronomy student. Today I am going to talk about a beautiful southern city… Villarrica.

For my presentation I am going to consider the following aspects.

• Location of the city
• Short introduction
• Main attractions
• Food
• Accommodation

1. First of all, have you ever been to Villarrica? well, for those who don’t know, Villarrica is located in the Araucania Region, on the west coast of the Villarrica Lake. Its 773 (seven hundred seventy-three) km away from Santiago.

You can travel to villarrica by plane, car or bus. If you decide to go by plane you should reach nearest airport which is Temuco airport and then travel by car or bus the last 84(eighty-four) km.

1. Villarrica is a beautiful and diverse city. It became a worldwide renown tourist destination not only for summer activities, but also winter sport enthusiast and nature lovers. In the following statistics we can notice a clear increase on the arrival of tourists in the region. And the total number of tourists that arrived last year. this increase yielded the development of the entire region, in other words, because of the improvement of tourism, the region overall economy has improved.
   
2. Next I would like to show you some of villarrica’s best attractions.
   this city has a wide variety of attractions due to its terrain characteristics.

1. First we have Villarrica Lake. This the perfect place to practice kayaking, windsurfing and other water sports.
2. Second we have conaripe hot springs. This is one place you shouldn’t miss; the daily entrance is $15.000 (fifteen hundred) pesos. There you can enjoy the hot springs, pools, whirlpool bath and mud baths.
3. Villarrica National park is definitely one place you should visit if you are into outdoor activities. The entry fee is only $2.000 (two thousand) pesos. There are many things to do there, such as trekking, rafting and mountain climbing.
4. Finally, we have Villarrica Canopy Park, this is an adventure tourism center and here you can, of course, enjoy canopy and other activities like senderism and wildlife sightseeing.
   

1. When we go to a place its always important to know where to eat. Here I have a couple of suggestions for you.

1. Fuego Patagon: this restaurant has a pleasant rustic ambiance. Here you can find a wide variety of premium meat from selected pure breed young animals. The main focus of this place is a big grill where customers can watch as their meat is being prepared, the highlights are wild boar, deer and lamb combined with the ideal garnish and local products. A wide variety of wines and a fine selection of fish and seafood.
2. Café Bar 2001: this is a traditional restaurant for snacks and quick meals. The atmosphere is pleasant and it has a very wide variety of sandwiches and fast food dishes. Also a rich menu with different pastries and selected coffee. This restaurant also serves different types of alcoholic beverages.

If you are ever in villarrica o near it, you should definitely visit at least one of this places.

1. Finally, if you are thinking on going to Villarrica you should know some places where you can spend the night or just stay a couple of days relaxing and enjoying this awesome city.

1. If you like to stay in fancy rooms your place is definitely the Enjoy Park Lake Hotel
2. If you rather stay in a more natural environment, I recommend you La casa del arbol complex
3. Another rustic accommodation is the Touristic complex antukuyen.
4. And finally the cheapest option is Patagon Andino. Where you can find camping spaces and cheap rooms and cabins.
   

1. In conclusion Villarrica is the perfect spot for spending good quality vacations, with great scenery and good gastronomy. You should definitely consider going to villarrica on this vacations.
