Which is which?

1.

- IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is a non-governmental organization.

- WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) is a non-governmental organization.

- Greenpeace is a non-governmental organization.

- UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) is also a non-governmental organization.

It’s discussable the fact that all these programmes, projects and organizations are made by independent people instead of the government, that is supposed to be the one who takes care of the people of their countries, and this includes, taking care of the environment.

2.

- IUCN aims or goal is to conserve and restore coastal ecosystems as there are key assets that support the human’s well-being and the security of the Indian Ocean Region. The immediate purpose is to help threatened coastal ecosystems which are affected by bio-hazzards like tsunami, IUCN takes care of rehabilitation of the people affected by using ecological and socio-economical sound methods. (IUCN, 2009)

- The WWF organization aim is to make people stop damaging our only life support system, a system in which we depend and specially respect other species that live in our world, harmoniously. The WWF also wants to stop the extinction of animals because of humans benefit, it stands that we need to learn that our natural resources all and we can’t waste them. In a nutshell, it wants us to be more considerate into our environment. (WWF, 2015)

- Greenpeace is a global campaign organization that wants to change attitudes and behavior of the human being in order to protect and conserve the environment and promote peace by; catalyzing an energy revolution, defending our oceans, protecting the world’s remaining ancient forests, working for disarmament and peace, creating a toxic free future and supporting sustainable agriculture. (Greenpeace, 2007)

- UNEP is focusing into improving the threat of the climate change, natural disasters, taking care of the ecosystem management, the environmental governance, avoiding harmful substances into water and developing the resource efficiency and sustain. UNEP works all this aspects simultaneously with different programmes and campaigns. (UNEP, 2014)

3. All these campaigns, organizations, companies accomplish this aims by making conscience advertising every day, they also do projects in which they get volunteer people to help the environment to be cleaned. They also go into houses to convince people of getting rid of pollution and bad habits that are constantly attacking our environment, so all these programmes take care of their aims by doing almost the same thing. Some of them do this faster, like greenpeace that is a lot more massive than IUCN, WFF and UNEP.
