Freedoms Writers has a great story to learn from. In my personal opinion that is really how some people lives are. It’s about a group of kids who are singled out because of their backgrounds and their education. The one person who understands them and listens to how they feel is their teacher Mrs. Gruwell. They were never given a chance till Mrs. Gruwell came along and gave that chance too them. She saw that there was more to these students than what others perceived them too be. Now these days in society people are judged by their ethnic background, education, political preference and so on. I have been brought up to not judge someone by the color of their skin, what they look like, or how they live their lives. There is always a story behind everyone as to why they are the way they are. You never know what that person is going through or what they have been through.

Freedom Writers is a great movie for anyone to watch and I am almost positive that it will touch them in some way. I have never had to deal with any of this in my life that I know of. I can just imagine how people feel when someone acts like this toward them. I really like Eva. She is a very strong girl who will do anything for her family but she learns that even though its family she has to do the right thing. I have known people in the past that were just like Eva. Eva’s character will stay with me because I feel she is a strong Hispanic woman who learned her right from her wrongs and dealt with the consequences.

Mrs. Gruwell is doing what she can for her students but forgets that she has a life outside of work. She never has time for her husband. I understand how he feels because he is not getting the affection from his wife that he should. I feel that maybe he should of went about it a different way.
