RESUMEN

Este proyecto de investigación se llevó a cabo con el fin de identificar las debilidades que están afectando a la población docente en cuanto a problemas de salud y que generan ausentismo laboral, en el cual  identificamos que debido a años de entrega a su profesión, las molestias en los docentes son de origen osteomuscular  como el túnel del carpo. Este  síndrome del túnel carpiano  hace referencia  al atrapamiento  del nervio mediano  en el túnel del carpo formado por los huesos del carpo y el retinaculo flexor, es una enfermedad  que se presenta frecuentemente en nuestro ambiente laboral y extra laboral, como lo son las labores que realizamos en casa como barrer, cocinar,  trapear, lavar etc. Además se considerada la primera causa de incapacidad en Colombia.

Esta enfermedad laboral está asociada a síntomas  hormigueo, entumecimiento de la mano y debilidad en la mano y los dedos, estos síntomas son producidos por la compresión del nervio mediano que pasa por la muñeca y  puede ser causado por inflamación, articulaciones, fracturas, obesidad etc. Cabe resaltar que la aparición de esta enfermedad es más común en las mujeres ya que muchas de ellas desempeñan cargos administrativos o labores del hogar y por supuesto nuestra población afectada los docentes del colegio vanguardia por sus  actividades como  digitar, escribir y por ejecutar con frecuencia movimientos repetitivos de la mano y la muñeca.

ABSTRACT

This research project was carried out in order to identify the weaknesses that are affecting the teaching population in terms of health problems and that generate absenteeism, in which we identify that due to years of delivery to their profession, the discomforts In the teachers are of origin       like the carpal tunnel. This carpal tunnel syndrome refers to the entrapment of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel formed by the carpal bones and flexor retinaculum. It is a disease that occurs frequently in our work and extra work environment, such as the work we perform At home like sweeping, cooking, mopping, washing etc. Also considered the first cause of disability in Colombia. This work-related illness is associated with symptoms tingling, numbness of the hand and weakness in the hand and fingers, these symptoms are produced by compression of the median nerve that passes through the wrist and can be caused by inflammation, joints, fractures, obesity etc. It is noteworthy that the appearance of this disease is more common in women since many of them hold administrative positions or housework and of course our affected population the teachers of the avant-garde school for their activities such as typing, writing and for frequently executing movements Repetitive hand and wrist.
