The plot "The Lord of the Flies"

The Lord of the Flies tells the story of a group of British kids between 12 and 6 years old whose airplane has crashed in a lonely island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It seems like the world is in the middle of a war, Ralph it’s one of the oldest kids and he becomes the boss because he found a seashell and he called the others kids with that, so that gave him power and the kids picked him to be their boss.

One of the troubles start when the kids start to fear “the island beast”, but Ralph decide to forget that and start to make a bonfire with Piggy’s glasses (a fat boy who becomes Ralph’s best friend) and fire signals for boats to see it and rescue them.

But then Jack an older boy gets jealous because he wanted to be the boss but instead everyone prefered Ralph, so Jack decide to start hunting instead of make the bonfire and he induce other kids to follow what he is doing. Meanwhile a boy called Simon works with Piggy to make shelters.

Suddenly the kids who were on charge to take care of the bonfire escape to hunt a pig and while they were eating the bonfire extinguished and a ship that was near them couldn’t see them, Ralph gets very upset so he hit Piggy in the face and breaks his glasses.

All of a sudden a dead man flying with his parachute falls in the top of the mountain, but the kids believed that it was the “island beast” only Simon though that it wasn’t that so he goes to the woods to contemplate the situation while Ralph and Jack go up to the hill to look after the beast, but they don’t stay longer to see that it was a dead man.

In the group Jack decides that Ralph shouldn’t be the boss anymore. So he goes away with others kids that followed him and start killing pigs and anyone they wanted. Because of that Ralph and Piggy decide to do another bonfire but they realized that most of the older boys have gone with Jack. Meanwhile Simon it’s watching how Jack and the others boys are killing a female pig and how they are torturing her cutting her head.

Simon look at the pig head full of flies lurking it and so he named it the lord of the flies but the scene was so repugnant that he passes out and hurts his nose. When he wakes up he realized he was covered of sweat, blood and other disgusting things but anyway he decided to go up the mountain and look out for the beast.

Simon discovers that the “island beast” was a dead man but he throws up because the smell was really repugnant Simon decide to tell the others about the beast.

Ralph and Piggy were starving so they decide to go with Jack who was making a party because they hunted a pig, when Simon appears nobody recognizes him because he was covered of blood, sweat, vomit and mud, so they confound him with the “island beast” and start to attack him with their weapons till death.

That night the sea takes Simon body away and also the wind takes the dead
