Carbon Fund Organization.

Carbon use was banned by the United Nations in 1976, due to its hazardous effects to health. Today in Latin America 20% of the population still uses carbon as fuel in house labors. In Mexico the use of carbon as fuel is far from being eradicated as a matter of fact its consume increased 10%during the last economical crisis. Therefore this problem must be confronted before it becomes a public health matter. Carbon Fund Organization has been dealing with this scenario for a long time. The young population has been always an excellent sector to start social conscience; therefore, it will be a good idea if professional organizations focus in global warming aspects, starts working with students trying to change their thoughts and techniques about the global warming. In order to create a new generation of environmental aware leaders all Tec de Monterrey students must be encouraged to participate with Carbon-Fund Organization.

Global Warming effects are becoming more and more palpable, and it is creating anxiety among young people who are more interested in taking an active role in stopping or reversing these effects. Carbon-Fund Organization has been fighting these effects since 1998, which gives it plenty of experience on the topic, and it is always looking for young volunteers. There are certain lessons, which cannot be taught in a classroom the student must experience it face to face so that he or she will never forget and also will invite them to do something about it, this is the kind of experience that Carbon-Fund provides to its volunteers. Mark Ross a senior student from the University of Toronto says: “ The only thing I regret is not having participated earlier in this project. I waited until my last year of college because I believed it could wait, now I know that it couldn’t, if we don’t take of our environment we have no future”(Mark Ross UofT 2009) As Mark says the future is now, if we want to have a future we must work in the present and involve the people who are going to inherit this world, the young people, and by shaping their minds they will also shape the minds of the future generation.

Tec de Monterrey has the youth and Carbon-Fund Organization has experience, they must be added to get CHANGE as a result. All the students of Tec of Monterrey should join and participate with Carbon Fund Organization because it will provide them an unforgettable experience; it will also broaden their vision in nature care, as well as gives them the gratifying fact of helping to make the Earth a better place to live.

Tec of Monterrey need to be sensibilized in environmental issues, if there are going to be the leaders of large companies in the future we need them to conscious about the importance of respecting nature.
