1. What do you think is the significance of Jesus entry into Jerusalem? What clues does Mark give as to its significance?

If you have read the Bible before and you understand a little bit of animals, you’ll know that colts are animals used to carry heavy stuff and they are very difficult to dominate. Jesus didn’t want to use luxury horses to enter the city; he decided to enter the city with the colt because that means mastery of the mind to control the animal. The bible tells us: Over everything control your mind. Proverbs 4.23.

2. Why does Jesus cause a fig tree to wither? Is this a fitting act for the “meek and mild” Savior?

In Mark’s Gospel the main important point that I think Mark tries to show us is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah so, I think that Jesus tried to illustrate their disciples the faith.

3. How does the end of Mark 11 set up chapter 12? In what ways (in general) is Mark 12 similar to Mark 2?

Chapter 11 and 12 are connected by a conversation that Jesus is having with the chief priest, the scribes and the elders of the temple. In chapter 12 explains them the Parable of the Tenants. In both chapters Jesus is being wanted to kill him.

Another prove of his power given by God.

5. In you reading, what is the most surprising element of Jesus’ arrest, trial, and death in chapters 14 and 15?

The mind controls that he has to let himself get captured by the guards to complete the desires of the Lord.

6. Most modern translations have a note before verse of chapter 16 indicating that the earliest manuscripts do not have verses 9-20. How would Mark be read differently if it ended at verse 8?

Marks Gospel ended with only the Resurrection will have been difficult to understand without the credentials of Maria Magdalena, the Two Disciples and the eleven apostles.

7. Choose one passage that stood out to you, reread it a couple times, and write a couple paragraphs describing what this passage means and how it may apply to a person’s life today.

16:15 He said to them “ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” In Mark’s Gospel the main important point that I think Mark tries to show us is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah so, I think
