Objective:
Understand new vocabulary in a real context and then use it to create ideas about the article.
Practicing how to obtain the main idea of the article.
Learn how to find the main idea with a strategy called Early Hypothesis Formation and Testing (EHFT) that will become an important tool as a learning strategy.
Procedure:
To carry out this report the following steps were taken:
I read the four topics from module 1.
I searched the textbook of this course in the sources mentioned in this course, but I couldn’t buy it. The textbook was unavailable in all the sources.
I went to my campus library to see if there was a chance to find the textbook there, but I didn´t have luck.
I told my teacher about my situation by email. So she decided to send the textbook pages that the students needed to make the first homework.
I read the article in pg 64-67.
Then I answered the closer Look Section in pg 66-67.
According to the article´s information, I drafted my results and conclusion, the experience was satisfying and successful.

Conclusion:
I learned from this first module that by doing extensive reading I will improve my skills to be a better English user. Also I noticed that if I read more I will be able to understand new vocabulary just like the last exercise of this report. I was able to understand and find synonyms for the words above. Then it will become a strategy to understand what´s happening while I am reading. I realize that the main idea is the most important idea that a writer expresses in a paragraph. Often, but not always, the main idea is stated clearly in one sentence. The other sentences in the paragraph usually support the main idea by providing details. Now I can use these strategies
