AFFECTING THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The evolution is directly related to adaptive changes of people according to the environment.

Technologically it has been given in order to exploit resources efficiently to obtain raw material in

less time, which has led to a negative evolution in the environment, creating a need to preserve it.

Industrial engineers are the articulators of society-enterprise because they are responsible for optimizing resources to produce more products and services to be socialized into the community. They Have been who have had more contact with practices aimed to reduce waste, seeking the perfect flow of goods and services and reducing costs, but this also impacts in a positive way the environment due to reduced consumption of resources. This article discusses the management of the supply chain as a path to positively impact the environment while guiding organizations to a culture of zero waste.

Keywords: Lean manufacturing, supply chain, waste

Introduction

The human being is an agent constantly changing. the word evolution is seen as a positive development, however, this is directly related to adaptive changes of people to environment (these being directly related to man's interaction with it).

Darwin (1859) referred to evolution as a change in the result of a need species

new, explains that in the struggle for survivalallowing eliminate unfavorable changes

then the survival of the fittest. you tooexplained how species vary in different aspects according to the environment where they develop, well as aspects related to the nature

organism. Darwin also stated that changesight as skin color or the size of the

people relate to their dietary changes. This suggests that human beings suffer

changes not only for its organic nature but bynvironmental conditions in which they develop.

Sagan (1997) states that from the time when humans mastered fire and began manufacturing tools, it became clear that their skills can be used for both good and evil. However, only in recent times mankind

It is realizing that even benign use of intelligence and tools can endanger the species, since (Sagan, 1997)

humans are not smart enough to foresee the consequences. Today humans occupy all the land, have been devoted to subdue other species for their own benefit, to erode forests and make use of all resources in order to satisfy their consumerism. The technology has been created under this same perspective, more efficient exploitation of resources for getting raw material shortest time, which concludes in an increase in the production of goods and services that address needs generally induced by the same companies rather than realities of the human being .

The problem that exists today with disorientation and unexplained disappearance of bees is just one example of environmental destruction that

humans have been causing. The BBC (2001) published an article referring to the disappearance of bees "Bumblebee" and concern at this time is exposed, suggesting that in a few years could reach extinction thereof. Again for 2009, the BBC (2009) published a story claiming that so far the situation with the bees had not been a priority, it is stated that the bee population in the UK has fallen from 10 to 15% and fears spread across Europe about the decline of bees impacting production plants. These insects are important pollinators of plants, whether they are extinguished the risk of oil seed crops, strawberries and apples, among others, are extinct runs.

Due to the declining number of bees, pollination processes are being done by humans manually, which reduces the growth of plants by the tedious procedure.

A document published by the North American Plant Protection Organization (2008) notes that almost three quarters of flowering plants in the world

depend on pollinators, these are vital to agriculture because they pollinate most fruits, vegetables, fodder, hay and seed crops and other crops. The document also notes that, in the late nineties, taxonomists of America noted a decline in the distribution and abundance of certain species of bees in the same country. are given

declines to pests that have been made in the practices of import and export of bees.

This indicates that companies looking to improve their levels of food production, bees have been imported breeding involving other

country; which was not taken into account was that, as Darwin pointed out, species change according to the habitats where they are, so that, not native to a region, imported bees have experienced changes in their behavior and therefore have affected the natural development of plants and animals. Additional to this, pesticides, climate changes due to global warming, deforestation and all the environmental problems facing the world, have led to the disappearance of bees. This example confirms that man advances

technologically
