SUMMARY

PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION: THE BASICS

In any business that we have we can use a logistics operator for the transit of our products, which classifies us according to category, perishable, dangerous or merchandise, analyzing the type of transport mode and the costs generated by the type of transport to use.

Depending on the category of the products, it must be analyzed if it requires insurance to guarantee the products, and it is agreed who will cover the costs of the same.

Delivery times are important depending on the type of merchandise and the need we have for the delivery of the product.

The logistics operator must guarantee the packaging to avoid damage during the mobilization process depending on the type of transport chosen.

If it is a highway, the dimensions of the products and the environmental cost must be taken into account, in the ferrous system the mobilization is faster and protects the environment, although it increases costs.

In the air field we must take into account that additional costs are generated and that the type of cargo must be of smaller volume, but the advantage is that the delivery time is minimum.

Unlike the maritime system, the costs are lower and the volume of cargo is of greater capacity, the only thing to take into account is the time it can take extra time.
When we use maritime system we must take into account that these operate according to established schedules or demand, which in many occasions generate delays if we need to immediately dispatch merchandise and there is a limitation in transportation of products.

To guarantee a successful logistics process in the transport of our products we must always keep in mind what product we are going to transport if it is merchandise or foodstuffs and even more if they are perishable, to choose the type of transport whether terrestrial, ferreo, air or maritime, the implications that each one has, the costs and packaging of them.

Regarding the costs and insurance of the shipment of the goods, the operator and the intermediaries that we use must be taken into account since this can generate extra costs and delays in the shipments that we have.
