F. Scott Fitzgerald writs two stories. Two stories that are based in the same idea, a dream , for both characters. They both include key characters that are a very important part for the novel. Both of the stories share various themes.
Dexter Greene and Jay Gats sharesimililarities al the way through the stories. For Greene the ideal , his goal was to become known as the rich guy and jay gats also wanted o have money to a huge extent. One obvious thing they did is that all they wanted to do was to get money and more money just to impress this lady who diverges the path if one of the characters and makes the other to fall into an illegal business so he could gain enough so she would’ve been attractd to it. As we know Deter had this goal, he was tired of only being a cady , and one day he said , no more cady for me , I want to be the rich man who all know and finally enjoy all the money he made.
“because his winter dreams happened to be concerned at first with musings on the rich, that there was anything merely snobbish in the boy. He wanted not association with glittering things and glittering people--he wanted the glittering things themselves”
One of the most important facts about Dexter is that his dreams were good , they had the correct prpuse for a kid who was tirred of his enviorment and decided to run over that and become of another standard , but what happens if terrible. He meets thi girl who is so hot and unique in a way that cautivated him inmediatley decides that she has to become his to some extent. The problem is that instead of constantly following the attention of what he wanted to do , he just thinks of her so much that instead of putting the goal of being rich and known to th garbage and putting Judy as what he wanted now to become of his,
In the other hand , our friend Gatsby is not so different from him. Gatsby knew already Daisy from the past , like dexter to judy , and he wanted to marry her , but she didn’t wait fro him and he was left alone. To get to impress he uses the other side of the law to become rich with one porpuse , to impress and recover judy from the man who took her away from him.
When someone established a goal , deam he has tu put control to it. To diverge from th wealthiness as a goal to a love of a woman wasa big deal , not because it affected him from beome and getting rich but because it made him depend in the passion and excitement of that woman nstead of the motiiation of every day of getting the money and finally after all the work gad been done , to look for that special girl who would love him wih no ondition at all.
Judy became so relevant in his life that after 18 months of being with this girl who was smart and beautiful , engaged with her, get to encounter judy again and those feelings of passion for her were so strong that all the commitemente donde had been lost that night , to end how , well sad , depress cause what he wated with her she didn want.
Gatsby work all what he can do so hes finally able to get this fortune , so big that he could just spend every day and still have sofr so many more years .Gatsby did all this for the love of the woman , hes green light , the final course of his journey.
Eventhough they both centered in getting the attention of a woman by both utilizing the wealth as a strong help , and a woman to set a path , once get to have her for longer and enjoy it as a whole , instead of Dexter that actually ecame dependese and when she decided finally to leave he could not take it , “all the work done for nothing” cause she is now not part of my dream . The reality is that she want part of the dream , she would’ve come later on in his actual dream so he could enhoy what he had done , now that she is gone eventhough he has wealth it doesn’t mean anything for him cause her “Love” is not any more around us.
The love of Gatsby and daisy was due to recover the passion
